Our roots date back to 2004, when Chris Benfer and Matt MacNeal first envisioned a financial planning practice to deliver the best possible experience for clients.
Since our founding in 2012, we’ve prioritized genuine connections between advisors and clients, built on a foundation of trust and dedication to meeting individual goals. In 2020, we strengthened our firm’s gender diversity and long-term succession plan with the promotion of Cortney Milner and Kathleen Simolike to partners at Veery Capital.
In 2021, we launched our rebrand to Veery Capital, motivated to update our name and branding to represent our expertise and who we are as a team.

Since 1994, Chris has been able to deliver exceptional financial services to his clients based on relationship building and customized planning. Since 2004, Chris and partner Matt MacNeal have grown Veery Capital into one of the largest individual and institutional services firms in the Delaware Valley.
Over the last eight years working with Cortney Milner, Chris has expanded our institutional practice to help companies navigate today’s increasingly complex regulatory environment, working closely with plan fiduciaries and adding expertise, systems and technology to offer best-in-class retirement plans to employees.
Chris is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), holds Series 7, Series 6, Series 63, Series 65 licenses, and he is fully licensed in both life and health insurance.

Over the past 22 years, Matt has been able to grow a niche financial planning practice that helps clients get organized, create goals and achieve things they previously thought were unattainable. Specifically, our team focuses on helping clients improve their personal real estate portfolio—both primary residences and second homes. Most people would like to own a second home or improve the one they have. We create strategies that allow clients to put these dreams into action.
Matt holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), holds Series 7, Series 6, Series 24, Series 63, Series 65, Series 66 licenses, and he is fully licensed in both life and health insurance.

Cortney oversees the daily operations of the institutional services team to ensure our service commitments to each individual client and participant are being met accurately and in a timely manner.
Since 2012, Cortney has also worked alongside Chris Benfer to expand our institutional practice and help companies offer best-in-class retirement plans to their employees. In 2020, as a result of the growth of their practice, Cortney began the process of transitioning her responsibilities for Veery Capital’s accounting and human resources to Kelly Law so that Cortney could focus her full attention on institutional services.

Now, as Chief Operating Officer at Veery Capital, Kelly provides a touchpoint for every division in the firm. Working with the institutional and individual service teams, she manages human resources, accounting, and works with the management team on strategy and executing firm initiatives.

With almost 25 years’ experience in financial services, Rob has worked extensively with clients to develop tailor-made solutions for their financial needs. He has a unique ability to connect with people, listen to their goals, and translate them into actionable plans for investment and personal wealth management.
Rob began his financial career at New England Financial Group, where he developed financial plans for individuals and small businesses. In 2003, he joined a regional accounting firm to expand the financial services unit before returning to Veery Capital, where he assists clients with a full suite of financial planning solutions. Rob is a graduate of Lafayette College with a degree in economics and business.

Sarah graduated from Millersville University with a business degree and started her career in 2006 as a Captive Agent. In 2009, she moved into her role as a broker and began developing her Medicare, RX, life insurance and long-term care business. Helping seniors navigate Medicare and all of their insurance options, led Sarah down the path of wanting to provide additional services through comprehensive financial planning.

Alex joined Veery Capital in 2018, adding her strong communication skills and excellence at building trusted relationships to the client service team. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, and a specialization in public relations.
At Veery Capital, Alex is dedicated to providing the highest quality of customer service to all new and existing clients. She takes pride in ensuring that each client’s needs are met with care and efficiency. Alex’s background and personality allow clients to feel well cared for, and this contributes directly to Veery’s success. Her commitment to excellence in client service is a cornerstone of her role at the firm.
Alex continues to challenge herself in her role and career, and in conjunction with the Individual Client Services team, is always looking for new ways to improve the services we provide to our clients.

Upon graduating from West Chester University with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies, Kate gained valuable knowledge and experience working in an operations role at a wealth management firm. Both her education and experience have provided Kate a strong foundation for her career.
Kate is responsible for managing all of Veery Capital’s marketing efforts. By leveraging her background, Kate has helped elevate the Veery Capital brand by utilizing various marketing strategies along with enhancing the firm’s visibility and engagement with clients. Her passion and energy to grow in her role continuously drive her innovation and improvement on Veery Capital’s initiatives.

Tre joined Veery Capital in August 2022. Before starting his career with Veery Capital, he interned with the firm in Summer of 2021. Tre graduated from Ursinus with a degree in Applied Economics, a concentration in Finance and Accounting and a minor in Management. He now works as liaison between our Individual Client Service as well as our Institutional Service teams.

RJ began his journey in the financial industry in 2019 during his internship at Veery Capital. Upon graduation, he transitioned into his role as our Investment Specialist on the Individual Client Services team where he gained important knowledge and skills.

RJ began his journey in the financial industry in 2019 during his internship at Veery Capital. Upon graduation, he transitioned into his role as our Investment Specialist on the Individual Client Services team where he gained important knowledge and skills. In 2022, RJ furthered his experience in the industry by working and collaborating at other wealth management firms which helped him gain valuable insights into both investment strategies and client service.
As an Associate Advisor at Veery Capital, RJ plays a crucial role on our Institutional Services team managing the relationships with both plan sponsors and participants of our retirement plans. RJ also serves on our investment committee and works alongside the Institutional team to continue to improve our services and streamline our procedures.
RJ holds the Series 65 certification, the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation and the N(k)S™ designation showcasing his proficiency in investment advisory and retirement plan services. RJ is diligently working towards obtaining his master’s in finance at Georgetown University, with an expected graduation in May 2025.

Upon graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interpersonal Communication and minor in Leadership of Organization, Celina gained valuable experience at Jackson National after graduation. There, she honed her attention to detail and accuracy by managing large volumes of data.
In her role, Celina supports the Veery Individual Client Services team by streamlining back-office operations, ensuring the accuracy of client data and documents, preparing for review meetings, and facilitating the transition of new clients into the Veery family. Her educational background and early experience in the financial industry equip her to excel as an Operations Associate.
Celina is committed to ongoing professional development, focusing on enhancing communication processes and deepening her knowledge of financial services. Her dedication to learning and growth allows her to provide exceptional support to her team and clients at Veery Capital.
